The winners of the 2016 Global Bottled Water Awards were announced at a gala dinner on 11th Oct.’2016 in Prague (Czech Rep.). The awards were a highlight of the 13th Zenith Global Bottled Water Congress and were organised in conjunction with media partners, Beverfood and the International Bottled Water Association. The Awards attracted over 100 entries from 25 countries in 11 categories, demonstrating creativity, innovation, marketing, community initiative and environmental best practice. They were presented by specialist consultants to the food and drink industries worldwide: Zenith International.

AquaBotanical Beverages, the only Australian finalist, competed alongside global contenders and received 2 awards:

- Best New Water Concept
- Best Sustainability Initiative.

It is a wonderful achievement for a start-up Australian business. It demonstrates that in the current highly competitive market, such as consumer goods, Australia can still be successful on a global level. Furthermore, this recognition is likely to motivate other Australian business people to reach for the sky. It’s welcome news for the Australian government who are always on the lookout for Australian success stories in business.

About AquaBotanical Beverages:

AquaBotanical is the the world’s first water sourced 100% from fruit and vegetables.

It is an Australian invention produced locally in Mildura (VIC).

Fruit & vegetables naturally contain a lot of water. AquaBotanical Beverages found a way to harvest it from the freshest Australian produce at the same time as juice concentrate is made.
Utilising every available drop of water contained in the fruit & vegetables, they proudly created a new sustainable source – world’s first Botanical water!

Thanks to its clean, subtle, silky mouthfeel without the salty, acidic aftertaste of many mineral waters, AquaBotanical complements wine and gourmet food. That’s why it’s perfect for pairing with fine food and wine!

The water is clear and non-flavoured.

It’s sustainable – made from unutilised source and helps Australian farmers utilise more of their fruit and vegetables.

This premium bottled water brand is sold across Australia to hospitality venues and premium retailers, as well as on-line.

In September 2015 AquaBotanical won the Food Industry Innovation Award from the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology at the AIFST 48th Annual Convention in Sydney.
Dr. Ambrosios Kambouris, AquaBotanical's inventor and founding director, said that he is proud to have received acknowledgement for the half a decade of research and product development that led to the launch of AquaBotanical. His invention not only offers alternative water sources to drought prone countries like Australia, but has the potential to save lives in countries where clean and safe drinking water is scarce.

The brand launched its still and sparkling water into the Australian market last year and has been received with enthusiasm by chefs, sommeliers and foodies. Fine dining venues and speciality food and beverage retailers are turning away from imported bottled water brands in favour of Australian made AquaBotanical.

AquaBotanical is served at the finest hospitality venues nationwide and most notably at:
• iconic Sydney establishment Barrenjoey House in Palm Beach • avant garde restaurant Gastro Park at Potts Point • The Farm in Byron Bay, Three Blue Ducks.

AquaBotanical Beverages have appointed Grant King, head chef / owner of Gastro Park as their brand ambassador.
