AQUABOTANICAL BEVERAGES (AUSTRALIA) WINS BIG ONE ON
WORLD STAGE

The
winners of the 2016 Global Bottled Water Awards were
announced at a gala dinner on 11th Oct.2016
in Prague (Czech Rep.). The awards were a highlight
of the 13th Zenith Global Bottled Water Congress and
were organised in conjunction with media partners
BeverageDaily.com, Beverfood and the International
Bottled Water Association. The Awards attracted over
100 entries from 25 countries in 11 categories, demonstrating
creativity, innovation, marketing, community initiative
and environmental best practice. They were presented
by specialist consultants to the food and drink industries
worldwide: Zenith International.
AquaBotanical Beverages, the only Australian finalist,
competed alongside global contenders and received
2 awards:
- Best New Water Concept
- Best Sustainability Initiative.
It is a wonderful achievement for a start-up Australian
business. It demonstrates that in the current highly
competitive market, such as consumer goods, Australia
can still be successful on a global level. Furthermore,
this recognition is likely to motivate other Australian
business people to reach for the sky. Its welcome
news for the Australian government who are always
on the lookout for Australian success stories in business.

received acknowledgement for the half a decade of
research and product development that led to the launch
of AquaBotanical. His invention not only offers alternative
water sources to drought prone countries like Australia,
but has the potential to save lives in countries where
clean and safe drinking water is scarce.
The
brand launched its still and sparkling water into
the Australian market last year and has been received

Aqua
Botanical Beverages (Australia) Pty Ltd is a privately
owned company founded in 2012. Its
manufacturing facilities are located in Sunraysia,
Victoria, one of Australias key food growing
regions. The company is headed by Dr. Ambrosios Kambouris
who is the author of twelve patents and has a PhD
in Medicine from The Flinders University of SA, as
well as a Chemical Engineering qualification from
Curtin University and B.Sc. (Honours) from Monash
University. Dr. Kambouris worked for 15 years as a
Senior Industrial (Group) Chemist for the beverage
and wine industry and in a number of large scale bottling
plants before starting up AquaBotanical Beverages.
