Cathy
Wilcox was born in Sydney and raised on tea, biscuits
and afternoon TV. She studied at Sydney College of
the Arts, lived in Paris for a spell, and developed
a habit of drawing in small white spaces. In 1989
there was an opening for someone like that in the
The Sydney Morning Herald, and later, the Age. She
still draws for the Herald and The Sun-Herald, and
has illustrated numerous children's books.
