Coast No.1 for celebrities

The Gold Coast has been named the most popular tourist
destination for celebrities according to a poll by
travel.com.au. The Queensland holiday hub earned top
spot with visits from luminaries such as Paris Hilton,
Tara Reid, U2 and Diana Ross.
The
survey, based on nearly 2000 customers about their
experiences holidaying with celebrities, also named
Cairns (3) and Port Douglas (5) in the top 10.
Celebrity
agent Max Markson says that holidays in Australia
is a hot trend for A-listers, "Celebrities are
looking far from home for exotic holiday locations
and a total change of pace. Stars visiting Australia
for work have also spread the word of the stunning
attributes Australia and the Asia Pacific offer. Holidaying
down under has fast become a trend for Hollywood's
finest who are opting for unique, secluded getaways
in luxurious locations."

The Bahamas - remains a magnet for Hollywood's creme-de-le-creme.
