Details of the upcoming Google Pixel
phone have seemingly been leaked by retailers ahead
of its official launch.
British store Carphone Warehouse appeared to accidentally
publish promotional material for the smartphone before
quickly pulling the content from its website.
The leak suggests there will be a 5-inch and larger
5.5-inch model, both coming with a metal body and
AMOLED screen.
Fast-charging technology will reportedly give 7 hours
of battery life from a 15-minute charge, while an
eight-megapixel selfie camera and 12-megapixel back
camera will also be included.
Google Assistant, a fingerprint scanner and either
32GB or 128GB of storage are among other rumoured
features.
The Pixel phones mark a change in direction for Google,
which develops the popular Android operating system.
It previously partnered with various manufacturers
for its Nexus phones.
The search giant is expected to officially launch
its iPhone 7 competitor at a special event on Wednesday
Australian time.
