An
individual using the name 'Mr Smith' has posted online
a fresh cache of stolen HBO files, including some
related to the show Game of Thrones, as part of what
the purported hacker claims is a much larger trove
of stolen HBO material.
The
dump includes scripts from five Game of Thrones episodes,
including one coming episode, and a month's worth
of email from the account of an HBO programming executive.
Multiple
internal documents related to Game of Thrones, including
internal marketing material, were also leaked.
HBO,
which previously acknowledged the theft of 'proprietary
information', says it continues to investigate and
is working with police and cybersecurity experts.
This
is the second data dump from the purported hacker.
Entertainment
Weekly reported last week that hacker stole 1.5 terabytes
of data and posted online un-broadcast episodes of
Ballers and Room 104, along with 'a script or treatment'
for this week's episode of Game of Thrones.
The
HBO leaks have been limited so far compared with the
chaos inflicted on Sony in 2014 when hackers unearthed
reams of embarrassing emails.
