side of The Gap, towards the MacDonald Ranges, its
time to hear all about it Alice Springs style.
AFL at Traeger Park Port Power (Adelaide)
VS Melbourne Demons
Alice Springs welcomes back the AFL to Traeger Park.
So far, so good, and the only aggressive action is
on the oval, where it should be. We understand that
the AFL and its fans where pretty much put on notice
that any more trouble that followed this style of
footy would not be tolerated any longer. Many believed
it was the last chance for the AFL and its supporters
to show that can respect The Alice, and to enjoy their
sport, but not to trash our town. Thank you to all
for a successful AFL campaign in The Alice.

2015 Alice Springs Show
Its never too early to start spreading the news
of a ripper event coming up in The Alice. Its
the annual Alice Springs Show, and this years
event promises to be one of the greatest ever. Its
the 56th show in fact and show dates are Friday 3rd
July and Saturday 4th July. Every man and his dog,
cow, pig and camel will be there, and you should be
there. A little birdie told us that Rural Weekly folks
will be there with bells on too. See you at Blatherskite
Park punters.
Mad Max: Fury Road at Alice Springs Cinema
Todd at Alice Springs Cinema tells us that George
Millers Max Mad: Fury Road is tipped to be one
of this years most popular movies, in any class, at
his cinema, or any other for that matter. As Max Max
would say, Its a lovely day to go
to the movies at Alice Springs Cinema. Tempted to
watch movies on your computer?
take our advice
be very careful with your data usage. Online
movie watching has been known to blow many an internet
data allowance thru the roof. See you at the movies
then.
360 ALLSTARS return to Araluen Arthouse Cinema
16 June
360 ALLSTARS returns to the Araluen Arts Centre after
a sell out season in 2013! This is a phenomenal physical
performance exploring all forms of rotation. Boasting
a stellar cast, including world champion athletes,
world class dancers and world renowned musicians,
the production connects the street with the elite
to deliver a radical urban circus!
A
performance like no other, 360 ALLSTARS reinvents
the traditional circus by presenting contemporary
performance styles instead of conventional circus
art forms. Replace acrobats with break dancers, substitute
a basketball freestyler in place of a juggler, swap
the unicyclist for a BMX flatlander, and exchange
the hoop act for a Roue Cyr artist, and you get an
exhilarating circus performance like nothing you have
seen before! And with live music from award-winning
master musicians and "ringmasters", Gene
Peterson and Sam Perry, 360 ALLSTARS is as aurally
exciting as it is visually astounding.
Featuring
artists from UK, Europe, America, Australia &
NZ, the performance is a spectacular, colourful and
audibly exciting expression of a generation that has
reinvented public performance.
Fusing amazing physical skills with the extraordinary
artistry that emerges from urban culture, 360 ALLSTARS
is a revolutionary production that will leave you
dizzy with excitement!
