AUSTRALIA has a chance this week to right a major chart wrong: finally making INXS’s Kick a No. 1 album, 27 years after it was released.

Kick is now No. 2 on iTunes, with the band rock blocking themselves with INXS compilation The Very Best at No.1.

INXS’s signature ballad, Never Tear Us Apart, is also on track to finally become a Top 10 hit after peaking at No. 14 when originally released in 1988.

Kick was released in October 1987, but entered the ARIA chart at No. 3, unable to dethrone Icehouse’s Man of Colours at No. 1 and the La Bamba soundtrack at No.2.
