Sydney office of the Media Man agency takes another
close up look at the inner workings of the movie and
entertainment industry.
Marvel's
The Avengers produced by Disney topped worldwide box
office takings in 2012 with over $1.5 billion in sales,
according to Media Man.
Bbox
office revenue were up in 2012 and theater attendance
also increased.
U.S.
receipts were up 5.88% from $10.2 billion in 2011
to $10.8 billion in 2012. International sales grew
by 3% to $23.1 billion compared to $22.4 billion the
previous year.
Strong
movie titles brought in theater-goers increasing attendance
by 2.5% compared to last year.
