The Smooth Festival of Chocolate is a celebration of sweet, indulgent desserts, where Sydney’s best boutique chocolatiers, pastry chefs and ice cream makers will come together to tempt you with their creations.

Held on Saturday October 4 and Sunday October 5 in Sydney’s iconic and atmospheric The Rocks precinct, the smooth Festival of Chocolate will attract lovers of sweets and fine foods from all over the country!

With hundreds of marquees filled with sweet treats, the Callebaut Test Kitchen proudly designed and built by Knebel Kitchens within The Rocks Square, featuring cooking demonstrations from your favourite chefs, and goodie bags to purchase, your Festival of Chocolate experience will leave you wanting for nothing!

The Festival will include scrummy, indulgent treats within First Fleet Park, where the smooth Music Stage will feature great live music and entertainment, a gorgeous outdoor Garden Bar in Atherton Lane where you can grab a chocolate Martini, Chocolate Beer or refreshing cider while you relax with a cheese plate.

Acclaimed chocolate industry personalities and chefs, such as Dean Gibson, Jean-Michel Raynaud from Baroque Bistro, Julia Taylor from La Renaissance Patisserie and The Rock's very own resident chocolatier Arthur from Chocolarts will be demonstrating their chocolate delights in workshops and the Callebaut Test Kitchen.

Plus throughout the month of October, chefs from popular restaurants and hotels in The Rocks precinct will showcase their talents with special chocolate menu items on offer, while your favourite bars in The Rocks will be creating delectable chocolate cocktails!

In conjunction with Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority and part of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month presented by Citi, the event will bring together everyone’s favourite brands and boutique chocolatiers in a celebration of all things delicious.
smoothfm’s Cameron Daddo will also be making an appearance at the festival, with more exciting announcements still to come.

The Rocks will be transformed into a chocolate oasis with visitors able to wander from stall to stall tasting, indulging and taking home all kinds of delectable treats.

A dragon’s breath of chocolate macaroons in liquid nitrogen, chocolate tarts with Persian fairy floss, jaffa mousse with caramel in a chocolate sphere and smoked pork ribs with sweet chocolate and bourbon barbeque sauce are just some of the mouth-watering treats on offer.

The industry’s most celebrated identities have already come on board to demonstrate at the Callebaut Test Kitchen including Executive Pastry Chef of Baroque and La Renaissance Patisserie Jean-Michel Raynaud, 2012 MasterChef Australia runner-up Julia Taylor, Urban Purveyor Group’s Corporate Executive Chef Damien Brassel, Kazbar’s Pastry Chef Pradeep Devamittage and founder of Food to Nourish Danielle Minnebo.
