right on the heels of Creed's successful debut last
week, Sylvester Stallone is poised to bring another
classic franchise to television. TheWrap reports that
the Rocky star has just closed a deal to develop Rambo:
New Blood, a new Fox drama that pays homage to the
original 1982 film and its followups.
Rambo:
New Blood will reportedly explore the relationship
between John Rambo, the troubled Vietnam veteran who
solves problems with rocket launchers, and his son
J.R., an ex-Navy SEAL. Talks for a Rambo TV series
have been ongoing since 2013, but not much else is
known about the series at the moment. In fact, it's
still uncertain whether or not Stallone himself will
appear in the series, though John Rambo is said to
be a key character.
