The World Bodypainting Festival: the world's most colourful event with the World Championships, shows, music, fashion, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions, photo areas and much more.

Overview...

Since 1998 the world’s most colourful event has taken place every year in Austria. The “World Bodypainting Festival” is the biggest art event in the bodypainting theme and ten thousands of visitors admire the wonderful work of the participants. Artists from 40 nations worldwide come to this unique event and put body art into the mountain and lake scenery.

Pörtschach at the lake Wörthersee near the state capitol Klagenfurt is the location for until 2013. The festival week is from 1 - 7 July 2013.

The town Pörtschach, the most impressive location in the state, surrounded by turquoise water is the perfect backdrop for the art form. The very compact town locates all programs within just a few hundred meters. The Congress Center offering space for most of the workshop classes and the "Castel Leonstain" is the new Body Circus location.
