Zack
Ryder defeated Heath Slater. Decent response for these
guys. Much more buzz than on American television.
-Natalya
beat Aksana with the Sharpshooter. Decent for a WWE
Diva's match on tour.
-Great
Khali beat Jinder Mahal. Good pop for Khali. Crowd
was into Khali's size, and not much else.
-WWE
US champ Dean Ambrose beat The Miz in a Sydney Street
Fight. Ambrose was fantastic. Wrestling, reversals,
weapons, and brawling. Almost 4 stars. Ambrose looked
and acted like a world champ. Both wrestlers were
massively over.
-WWE
Intercontinental champ Curtis Axel beat Antonio Cesaro.
Awesome 20 minute plus match. Axel showed just how
good he is, and as a babyface with Heyman no less.
Great house show match.
-Team
Hell No Bryan beat WWE Tag Team champs The Shield
via DQ when Ambrose nailed Bryan with a chair. They
tried to triple team Kane but Bryan made the comeback
save and everyone hugged it out. Very strong tag team
match and all very over with crowd.
-
WWE champion John Cena beat Ryback in a Tables match.
Big crowd response for both. Solid match. Tables kept
breaking in Ryback's hands at first. Crowd started
chanting Goldberg at Ryback. Cena grabbed the mike
and said the crowd should be chanting wanker at Ryback.
Great in ring thank you talk by Cena at end of match.
You can tell Cena really loves the WWE and wrestling
for real.
This
was the greatest WWE house show I have every seen
in Australia. Most wrestlers worked hard and the crown
was into most of the matches.
Other
notes:
A
ton of WWE merchandise was sold.
99% sold out. Only a couple of empty chairs in the
far corners of the arena
Security made everyone who had a big sign hand it
over to the cloak room!
