Elon
Musk says he would eliminate pay for Twitter's board
- April 2022
Elon
Musk tweeted Monday that he would cut all pay to Twitter's
board of directors if he takes over the social media
company.
"Board
salary will be $0 if my bid succeeds, so that's $3M/year
saved right there," Musk
tweeted.
A
filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission
says Twitter pays board members a total of about $2.9
million in stock and cash, CNBC reported.
Musk,
the world's richest man, offered $43 billion to take
Twitter private on Thursday, after he rejected the
offer of a board seat at the company.
The
billionaire entrepreneur, who runs Tesla and SpaceX,
became Twitter's largest investor April 4, when he
disclosed he had acquired a 9 percent stake. Musk
is a frequent critic of Twitter and says the company
should be a "platform for free speech" worldwide.
Twitter's
board of directors blocked Musk's takeover bid Friday
with a unanimous "poison pill" vote. The
poison pill strategy gives existing shareholders the
chance to buy additional shares at a discount
In
another tweet Saturday, Musk appeared to step up his
fight, as he hinted at a potential tender offer to
Twitter shareholders. Musk tweeted the Elvis song
title "Love
Me Tender.. Instead of going private, a tender
offer is a public offering to purchase some or all
of the shareholders' stock.
Twitter
founder Jack Dorsey blasted the company's board Sunday
in response to some critical posts about Musk's attempted
takeover. Dorsey agreed with what one user called
"plots and coups" among its founding executives,
saying "it's consistently been the dysfunction
of the company."
Dorsey
also responded with the words "Big
Facts" to a user who quoted venture capitalist
Fred Destin's words that "Good boards don't create
good companies, a bad board will kill a company every
time."

Man Network findings
In
mass communication, media are the communication outlets
or tools used to store and deliver information or
data. The term refers to components of the mass media
communications industry, such as print media, publishing,
the news media, photography, cinema, broadcasting
(radio and television), digital media, and advertising.
The
development of early writing and paper enabling longer-distance
communication systems such as mail, including in the
Persian Empire (Chapar Khaneh and Angarium) and Roman
Empire, which can be interpreted as early forms of
media.Writers such as Howard Rheingold have framed
early forms of human communication as early forms
of media, such as the Lascaux cave paintings and early
writing. Another framing of the history of media starts
with the Chauvet Cave paintings and continues with
other ways to carry human communication beyond the
short range of voice: smoke signals, trail markers,
and sculpture.
The
Term media in its modern application relating to communication
channels was first used by Canadian communications
theorist Marshall McLuhan, who stated in Counterblast
(1954): "The media are not toys; they should
not be in the hands of Mother Goose and Peter Pan
executives. They can be entrusted only to new artists
because they are art forms." By the mid-1960s,
the term had spread to general use in North America
and the United Kingdom. The phrase "mass media"
was, according to H.L. Mencken, used as early as 1923
in the United States.
The
term "medium" (the singular form of "media")
is defined as "one of the means or channels of
general communication, information, or entertainment
in society, as newspapers, radio, or television. (Wikipedia)

Fad
A
fad is any form of collective behavior that develops
within a culture, a generation or social group in
which a group of people enthusiastically follow an
impulse for a short period.
Fads
are objects or behaviors that achieve short-lived
popularity but fade away. Fads are often seen as sudden,
quick-spreading, and short-lived. Fads include diets,
clothing, hairstyles, toys, and more. Some popular
fads throughout history are toys such as yo-yos, hula
hoops, and fad dances such as the Macarena, floss
and the twist.
Similar
to habits or customs but less durable, fads often
result from an activity or behavior being perceived
as emotionally popular or exciting within a peer group,
or being deemed "cool" as often promoted
by social networks ] A fad is said to "catch
on" when the number of people adopting it begins
to increase to the point of being noteworthy. Fads
often fade quickly when the perception of novelty
is gone. (Wikipedia)

Significant
changes in the world may confuse those who are not
well versed in technology in general, but if you give
it some time you will be able to see that new tech
can be quite helpful.
Technology
affects practically all the aspects of our lives
from how you run your errands to what you do in your
spare time, it can increase your efficiency and turn
every task into an enjoyable one.
As
is the case is all aspects of the world, this tech
also affects the online gambling arena. If you enjoy
playing online games take a seat at a gaming machine
or poker table when you have the time for it and are
feeling lucks. You should follow the upcoming trends
that are taking the casino and VR gaming world by
storm so you will be able to turn every gaming session
into a worthwhile experience.
What's
In Store In The World Of Online Gaming and Gambling?
1.
Virtual Reality VR tech is not as rare as it
used to be, and bit by bit gambling venues start adopting
it. VR can be expected that with time more gambling
venues will be able to provide you with the chance
to use VR tech, which means that your gambling experience
will soar to new levels. Nowadays, VR technology is
more affordable, which is clearly why online gambling
venues decided they should use it to better connect
with the players.
2.
Skill-Based Casino Games There is no arguing
the fact that luck is the dominant factor that a player
needs to win most casino games. You dont need
to have any skills when you play pokies online, which
is why people like them in the first place. However,
some players need a game that will challenge them
more than the usual pokies games. There are a lot
of people that live for the thrill that comes with
challenging themselves, therefore they look for games
that require them to use all their skills to win.
Nowadays, it seems that casinos try to come up with
a bigger selection of skill-based games so those who
love challenges will enjoy gambling more.
3.
Live Games Nowadays, people love to visit the
casino and interact with real-life dealers and players
from across around the globe. Due to the changes in
the consumers mentality, we now want everything
to be personal, available, and as fair dinkum as possible.
Although there are live casino games available today,
the selection of games is quite limited. In the upcoming
years, there should be more live games available at
gambling venues, and they are tipped to include more
than the usual card games. For example, games that
have include Wheel of Fortune and Cleopatra Jackpot
feature will be presented by a real host once the
right tech will be incorporated at the casinos.
4.
Content is King? Most poker machine games are
quite simple - you have a selection of symbols that
appear on the reels, and if the game has a theme some
symbols will be designed to fit it. However, nowadays
customers want to get more out of their gambling session,
which means that more and more games will feature
movie clips and advanced graphics to provide you with
real content when you luck out at the casino. Break
out the popcorn, bubbly, masquerade and crack the
whip baby. Things are about to get really exciting.
Even Dennis Rodman, 'The Gypsy King' Tyson Fury, Madonna,
Lady Gaga and the late Andy Warhol would be impressed.
