Team Stephanie. Great professional wrestling aka sports entertainment, is great art, so the Gallery 1988 exhibition and collaboration seems like a perfect match. I have the utmost respect for both artists and pro wrestlers, as well as entertainers and sportsmen and sportswomen, so this news resonates with me greatly. I just love Rob Schramberger's work, and it's a beautiful thing to see such amazing artworks of greats such as Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Ric Flair, Triple H and friends. For millions of people art is an important aspect of appreciating life and all it has to offer. Public thank you WWE and the artists, curators and powers that be for putting this exhibition together. Greg Tingle, media and sports agent, and passionate photo artist! Official art review in progress at Media Man Int.

*upon closer examination we see that WWE in-house artist, Rob Schamberger, is not part of this art exhibition. We don't suppose our unmet friend Rob is going to do a run in or get involved with a foreign (international) object. Come to think of it, this is the art world so the WWE and others can relax the usual PC (politically correct) references. As the late, great Andy Warhol said, "Art is anything you can get away with". Amen to that!

*we will be sticking our head back in the virtual art gallery again tomorrow, if not sooner, and our review will plunge deeper into this beautiful collaboration between the WWE, Gallery 1988 and the amazing artists exhibited.

About Gallery1988

Since it’s opening in 2004, Gallery1988 has become one of the nation’s most talked about art galleries. Sitting on the world famous shopping mecca of Melrose Ave (now at 7308 Melrose), G1988 was opened by California natives Katie Sutton and Jensen Karp, and was the first pop-culture focused art gallery in the world, as well as a premiere venue to witness the rise of emerging artists before they break.

Openings at the gallery have seen upwards of 2,500 people attending in one night, including celebrities such as JJ Abrams, Paul Rudd, Julia Louise Dreyfus, Seth Rogen, Guillermo Del Toro, Seth Green, Kristen Schaal, Jonah Hill, Linkin Park, Nick Kroll and Joss Whedon admiring the walls. An annual show at G1988, "Crazy 4 Cult" receives worldwide press and over 1,000,000 website hits on the day of the opening reception every year. G1988 also created a marketing division within the space to create art-focused, and worldwide, campaigns for companies and properties like Paramount Pictures, LOST, Breaking Bad, Marvel’s The Avengers, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Sony, Cartoon Network, Mattel and The Academy Awards. Once deemed “marketing genius” by Entertainment Weekly and voted “Art Gallery of the Year” by LA Weekly, G1988 has become the stop for all things pop culture and art. For the past 6 years, Gallery1988 has helped nurture and create a collective of artists who call G1988 their home-base, allowing collectors to purchase affordable artwork from art stars on the rise, before their price range skyrockets.
