Vera
Fernandes is an aspiring up and coming Singer
and Australian model.
Now
24 years old, Vera was born in Portugal in 1984
and relocated with her family to sunny South west
Sydney, Australia at 6 years of age.
Vera’s
love for music has deep roots which started with
a strong cultural influence from traditional Portuguese
music.
She developed a strong desire to perform and participate
in primary and high school concerts at a young
age and her father, who played many instruments
including the accordion, encouraged her to learn
how to play the piano.
Growing
up Vera was constantly involved in the music and
entertainment industry and was consistently selected
to represent her school and organizations that
she was associated with for both her confidence
and singing talent.
In
2003 her friends encouraged her to step into the
modeling scene and her good looks, and down to
earth charm helped her establish a portfolio which
saw her later grace the pages of car enthusiast
magazines such as Freestyle, Hot4s, Autosalon,
Fast fours and the likes of FHM
and Ralph.
With
many countless appearances at car shows and an
entourage of cameras anticipating photo’s
with her, she became a familiar face at events
such as Autosalon, Night-Shift, Jamboree, Sydney
Motor Show, V8 Supercars, Drift Australia, Bathurst
1000 and many more.
With
the momentum building and allot interest in her
triple threat model/singer/writer status, she
was exposed to many guest appearances in Television
Shows, Radio interviews, magazines, advertising
campaigns, local press and music videos, including
a TOP 20 finalist spot in the FHM Girl Next Door
competition in 2006.
In
mid 2007, Vera collaborated with QBizzi &
Mc Tuppz, a lyrically gifted rapper from South
Auckland New Zealand. Together they wrote, produced
and released their unsigned track "Lose Control"
through myspace.com.
“Lose
Control” was a hit and captivated the RnB
audience of Oz through regular play on Australia's
number 1 Hip Hop & Rnb station The Edge 96.1fm.
Vera also made a special guest appearance on DJ
“Nino Brown’s” Trail blazing
show and she soon became consistently ranked a
TOP Artist on the myspace music page!
As a result Vera received countless messages from
fans and she was flooded with offers to work with
many artists.

the aspiring star, is liaising with the Australia’s
best urban producers and labels for her development
as an artist and is now working on a much anticipated
EP which is believed to include an unreleased
UK house track.

to be a natural, powerful and unique voice by
those in the industry… Vera is currently
under direction from Vocal coach Veronica Martinez
at The Live House and will be working with The
Sound Academy later this year.
