The Sydney International Boat Show in 2025 is split into two distinct events due to rising costs at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Darling Harbour. Here’s a concise overview based on available information:Sydney Boat Show (Indoor Event):Date:

August 14–17, 2025

Location: Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park

Focus: Jet skis, trailer boats (up to 10 meters), paddle boats, sailboats, accessories, and fishing gear.

Details: Held in The Dome and adjacent Exhibition Halls, this event offers world-class facilities, ample parking, and excellent public transport access. It aims to connect exhibitors with Sydney’s

6 million residents, featuring live fishing demos, marine tech displays, and family-friendly activities.

Tickets include free travel on trains, metro, and light rail services during the event.

Why the Change?: The move to Sydney Olympic Park reduces costs compared to the ICC and places the event in Sydney’s geographic heartland.

Sydney International On-Water Boat Show:Date: November 2025 (exact dates not specified in available data)

Location: Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay

Focus: Larger in-water vessels (10–30 meters), including luxury yachts, powerboats, and sailboats.

Details: This event leverages Sydney’s spring weather for an immersive harbourside experience, showcasing high-performance boats and marine tech innovations.

It includes foreshore activations, expert talks, family entertainment, and on-water demonstrations.

Cockle Bay will be closed to all vessels during the event.

Key Highlights:The split format addresses exhibitor cost concerns while catering to different boating segments. However, it poses challenges for accessory companies targeting both markets.

a Discover Sailing & Paddling Hub, and safety demos by Transport for NSW.
