Brock
Lesnar aka 'The Beast' was surprised to see his old
UFC rival foe Cain Velasquez in a WWE ring (at least
by storyline purposes).
The
two will wrestle at Crown Jewel on October 31st in
Saudi Arabia. The prince wanted more marquee matches
and he's getting his wish. American, Australian and
the rest of the wrestling world has also been seeking
fresh matchups from WWE, and they are getting their
wish, again, partly in thanks to the alternative pro
wrestling choices available, namely All Elite Wrestling
(who also had discussions with Velasquez. That was
a few years again before Chris Jericho tweeted a "Fat
Skinny" jab at the UFC legend. Jericho has copped
a bit of commentary about his physique over the past
year or so also, but hey, we can't all look like Ken
Shamrock or even Chris Hemsworth (rumored to play
a young Hulk Hogan) which is understood to hit streaming
giant Netflix within the next few years.
Renown
wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling
Observer Radio that Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez
is as official as official can be. This
wont just be a meeting between two former UFC
Champions, because there will be a title on the line
as well.
Lesnar is expected to not only square off against
Velasquez, but will also put his newly won WWE championship
on the line.
Itsnot known how many WWE dates Velasquez has
agreed to at this stage.
Conventional
thinking would mean that the stronger the match Velasquez
has with Lesnar, the more the promotion will push
him, and look to have him signed up for.
Velasquez
previously made an impressive pro wrestling debut
in the AAA promotion where he teamed with Cody Rhodes,
an Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling,
and the masked Psycho Clown.
WWE
is pulling out all the stops to being in new fans
and keep the existing audience satisfied, and deals
with athletes which no or little pro wrestling experience
can be expected from time to time.
Boxing
great Tyson Fury also appeared on WWE on SmackDown,
and is now involved in a rivalry with Brawn Strowman.
