He is arguably the most famous pro wrestler of all time and one of the WWE's biggest star attractions of all time.

The many trials and tribulations of Terry Gene Bollea aka Hulk Hogan, are known around the world, and Bollea has shared some of his most inner thoughts on the current global situation with the world via social media.

God or a higher power, has saved many people over the years. Often its some of the strongest and toughest people who later open up about the the positive impact of God on their lives.

For me, it was my connection with Father Dave Smith, Australia's older professional boxer and former martial artist, who helped me reconnect with God in recent years. Smith is a man of god, a tough bastard, and also has a heart of gold. Smith has also offered spiritual and life guidance for people from all walks of life over the decades, including for some of Australia's toughest and most capable fighters. History shows us that someone may be tough and very capable as a wrestler, boxer or martial artist, but their biggest grapples can be more internal and with the world outside their impressive sporting endeavors.

Clearly Hogan is not quite the party animal who once lived life in the very fast lane, with enough wild antics and a few sins to make books and numerous documentaries. His life is now a bit of an open book and he felt the time was right to share some candid thoughts.

“Maybe we don’t need a vaccine,” legendary pro wrestler Hulk Hogan penned, calling on the world to use its time of coronavirus-induced isolation to redirect its focus and worship Jesus, “the only thing that really matters.”

“Just like he did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship” – like athletes, entertainers and money – Hogan wrote Monday in a Facebook post, including a photo of himself leaning against a wall in prayer:

“In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt, God has taken away everything we worship. God said, ‘you want to worship athletes, I will shut down the stadiums. You want to worship musicians, I will shut down Civic Centers. You want to worship actors, I will shut down theaters. You want to worship money, I will shut down the economy and collapse the stock market. You don't want to go to church and worship Me, I will make it where you can't go to church’”

Still, God is offering healing and forgiveness to those who willing to turn back to him and make Him their priority:

“‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.’

“Maybe we don't need a vaccine, Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world and have a personal revival where we focus on the ONLY thing in the world that really matters. Jesus.”

It will be interesting to see if any of Hogan's current or former associates in the wrestling business who have also found peace with God such as Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, Sting, Undertaker (Mark Calaway), Jake Roberts, Ken Shamrock or Brian Blair also be come more pro active in sharing their more spiritual thoughts on the world with the masses. It's also understood that both Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Roman Reigns are both very spiritual, but its not currently know if they have or are about to put Jesus or God related thoughts of the current state of the world into the public domain.

Hogan was not the first tough and mega famous bloke to champion Jesus' name to the world via the internet, but he's certainly made a global impact, with word travelling from Florida, USA to Sydney, Australia, via Maroubra Beach and Bondi Beach, and the good word reaching just about all other places in between. In some ways social media and the internet has brought the world together more, but of course it depends upon how it is utilized.

Well respected wrestling figure Brian Blair is very active facilitating good deeds for the wrestling world via the Cauliflower Alley Club and the word is also out that Chris Jericho, AEW's main star, has helped out numerous pro wrestlers in their time of need over the years, despite portraying a bad guy (heel) with the All Elite Wrestling promotion.

Hulk-A-Mania is running wild again folks - only this time in a different way, and perhaps for the greater good. Kevin Sullivan, who curiously once played a devil worshiper gimmick has not offered commentary to Hogan's writings, nor has WWE top brass Vince McMahon who has sometimes compared himself to God. It seems apparent that Hogan has likely reignited a movement of sports and entertainment entities who are sharing their thoughts on God and the universe with the world via the internet.

In the spirit of things, let's conclude with Peace Be With You, brothers and sisters. Amen.

About the CAC

The Cauliflower Alley Club is pro wrestling’s only 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, and thanks to generous people like you, we are able to assist many people from the wrestling industry who have helped entertain us for so many years.

Every one of our CAC leadership team members donate their time to raise money to help former full-time wrestlers who are in need. Over the past 22 years, our benevolent fund has helped many wrestlers, with most of the donations going towards either medical payments or death expenses.

The CAC has assisted more than 150 members in financial need with well over a quarter of a million dollars. That’s pretty good for a club that had $10 dues for the first 30 years and $25 dues since.

The only way all that could have happened is through the generosity of each of you. As a member, you help support those in need, and I cannot tell you enough how much that means to many of the people we’ve helped. We are not a source of income, but we are there to help when someone is truly in need. And speaking of income, we donate money in the form of a cash grant, which means it’s a gift; not income or a loan.

From the very beginning, we agreed to never reveal the names of those we have helped, unless they gave us permission to do so. Our purpose was not to make ourselves look good, but simply to help those in need. In turn, several of those we’ve helped have told us that they would be honored to have us use their names to help promote the benevolent fund. A few of those include Bobby Heenan, Brickhouse Brown, Ox Baker, Kamala, Don Fargo, and Jerry Gray.

The CAC is your club, and your membership and donations will continue to help our brothers and sisters in need. We thank you for that.
