Echo Entertainment welcomes gaming approvals

Echo Entertainment Group Limited (Echo) Chief Executive Officer Larry Mullin today welcomed the
Queensland government's approval of gaming concessions that will support the company's $625
million investment into its Queensland casino properties.

The changes follow an in principle agreement with the Queensland Government in December 2010
and provide for:

50 additional table game licences to be utilised equally across Treasury Casino and Hotel
Brisbane and Jupiters Hotel and Casino Gold Coast available from 1 July 2012;

An additional 500 electronic gaming machines (EGMs) for Treasury Brisbane and Jupiters
Gold Coast. Of these, 400 are approved from 1 July 2012, or earlier if voluntary precommitment
technology is implemented. The additional 100 EGMS will be available for
Treasury Brisbane only on activation of pre-commitment.

Mr Mullin said subject to further regulatory and planning approvals, the new concessions provided
Echo with confidence to move forward on its investment program.

"The package of gaming changes sought from government supports the investment in the casino
properties to transform them into world class entertainment destinations, providing a major boost for Queensland tourism and entertainment,¡¨ Mr Mullin said.

"We are already well underway in a number of areas, particularly the $20 million redevelopment of
Jupiters Gold Coast Theatre where construction has commenced.

"The master plan for Jupiters Gold Coast is complete and we have appointed renowned heritage
architects, The Buchan Group, to commence work on potential designs for the five-star hotel property in Brisbane."

Mr Mullin said he continues to work with the Queensland Government to obtain further regulatory,
planning and other approvals that are needed to underpin the long-term growth of Echo's Queensland casinos.
