Spending an evening away from playing at any of the online bingo sites and sat in front of the television we are often still reminded of the game by way of a mass of bingo adverts. Soon a new marketing campaign is to be launched and this time we will see Virgin Bingo star on TV as they launch their first ever television advert.

October is when the launch of the Virgin Bingo adverts is reported to be happening and viewers will be able to see the advert on both terrestrial television as well as freeview channels.

According to Virgin Bingo sources, the star of the new campaign is Ricardo, an all singing and dancing crooner who will be kitted out in Mexican attire; do we sense a new bingo promotion from Virgin Bingo with a Mexican holiday to be given away? The actual bingo site will be having a little makeover around the time that Virgin Bingo star on TV giving it a little Mexican feel in keeping with the theme of the new Virgin Bingo advert.

This bingo sites new marketing campaign will have a central focus and that will be the three hours of free bingo on offer through their virtual doors but will boast colourful and clever graphic animations to bring the concept of Virgin Bingo alive for the public.

What is 90-Number Bingo?
90-Number Bingo is the bingo game that's traditionally played in the United Kingdom and Australia. It's just like the North American-style 75-Number Bingo where players buy tickets, then mark the numbers that are called.

There are some differences, though. In 90-Number Bingo, cards have three rows and nine columns. Five squares in each row contain numbers ranging from 1 to 90, and the rest are blank

How to play 90-Number Bingo
It's easy. You just buy your tickets before the game begins. The game is played with three patterns, and each pattern has a prize associated with it.

The patterns include Single Line Across (Line), Two Lines Across (Two Lines), and Full House.

Random numbers from 1 to 90 are called on the Bingo Call Board. The first player to correctly cross off a horizontal Line, then Two Lines, and finally all of the numbers on a ticket - that's Full House - would win the corresponding prize for that pattern.

In 90-Number Bingo, each individual grid is referred to as a ticket. 90-Number Bingo tickets are 3 rows by 9 columns. Each row contains 5 numbers and 4 blank spaces.

A Strip is a set of 6 tickets containing all 90 numbers, distributed throughout in a Dab-All format. When a strip of six tickets is played in one bingo game, every possible number from 1 -90 is there. So, you'll be able to cross of a number at each bingo call.

75 ball "Pattern" bingo
75 ball bingo is played on a card 5 columns wide and 5 rows deep. The 5 columns are labeled B-I-N-G-O. Each card contains 24 randomly selected numbers from a possible 75. The centre square is known as the 'free square' and remains empty at all times.

The numbers are arranged in groups of 15 as follows:
Column B features the numbers 1-15.
Column I features the numbers 16 - 30.
Column N features the numbers 31 - 45.
Column G features the numbers 46 - 60.
Column O features the numbers 61 - 75.

Ball numbers are called by column letter, then number e.g. B12, N38, G51.

Patterns
75 ball bingo is known to many as 'Pattern Bingo', because the aim of the game is to daub (mark off) all of the numbers in a particular pattern as soon as possible. The patterns change randomly for each new game. You can see which pattern is currently being played by looking in the pattern box in the top of the screen.

The shaded boxes indicate where on your bingo cards the pattern must appear. When the numbers are called, only those within the patterned area will be daubed (marked off) on your cards. If the centre, or 'free square', is part of the featured pattern, this will automatically be daubed (marked off) from the beginning of the game.

Different patterns add to the excitement of each game. Watch out for our special VIRGIN patterns!! Patterns can range from simple shapes, to letters, numbers or star signs.

The bingo winner will be the first player or players to mark off all their numbers in the featured pattern. To achieve this you simply have to buy your tickets and when the game starts the numbers will be automatically daubed for you, the winner announced and prize funds allocated.

Calling CLAIM!
Directly below the Call number is your favourite word - Claim! If you're the first player to match the pattern, click on it to claim your prize.

Please note: If you forget to press the Claim button, don't worry - if you're really the winner, we'll make sure you get what's yours. Even if you've accidentally closed your Bingo session or become disconnected, if you're a winner, you'll still win!

When you win, we'll put your prize directly into your account. If there are several winners, we'll split the jackpot evenly.

When you pick the Auto Daub option, we'll automatically mark off the numbers on your ticket when they're called. This is ideal if you've bought too many to keep up with! Best card sorting
This feature arranges the tickets in order of performance. If you're playing a few at once, the ones that start winning will be placed first. We'll mark them too, so you can see the ones that have "1 to go", "2 to go" or "3 to go". So, you can start getting excited as you get closer to Bingo!
