In
March 2019, WWE announced plans to move its global
headquarters to a new office building at 677 Washington
Boulevard in Stamford, Connecticut.
At
the time, WWE touted that the move would allow them
to bring together its operations, including
its production studios and corporate offices at its
new site.
The
Stamford Advocate recently reported that WWE is
targeting late 2022 to start moving employees to its
new headquarters.
Before
the COVID-19 pandemic started, WWE had been planning
to slowly move different divisions into the new HQ
and everyone be in the building by 2021. Since 2020,
WWE has cut several wrestlers and employees.
The
new building is 712,000-square-feet per floor, which
is significantly bigger than WWEs building of
110,000 square feet per floor. The lease for the building
will be for 16.5 years, with five five-year renewal
options afterward.
WWE
has been in Titan Tower since 1985. Over the years,
WWE has filmed various things at the headquarters
such as segments, show intros, a Super Bowl commercial,
and the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder matches.
