Tingle - 9th November 2011
Sly

Rambo.
In
the third installment of its popular An Evening
With ... series, Fallsview Casino Resort has
booked Sylvester Stallone for a pair sit down sessions

footsteps of other entertainers such as Al Pacino,
Sean Penn and even Hulk Hogan (who does the talkfests
with a number of his wrestling mates).
The
clever format will have the handsome 65-year-old Stallone
talk about his career with a moderator and then take
questions from the audience. He is tipped to be on
stage for anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours.
Both
the Pacino and Penn sessions sold out. Hogan and Friends
talks at other casinos have also pulled strong numbers.
Stallone
is expected to sell out the casinos Avalon Ballroom.
Tickets, which start at $90, go on sale at noon, Nov.

Sylvester Stallone speaks to Entertainment Tonight
about his Steve Austin injury during 'The Expendables'...
Entertainment
Tonight's Nancy O'Dell (one-time WWE Raw guest host)
caught up with Sylvester Stallone on-set at his new
movie, "Bullet to the Head," to discuss
the film's progression before an April 2012 scheduled
release date. Stallone noted he's still feeling the
effects of neck surgery that was required after he
suffered an injury at the hands of "Stone Cold"
Steve Austin shooting "The Expendables"
last year. Austin was required to tackle Stallone,
who accidentally landed on a pile of bricks. Stallone
said, "It's never really the same. "You're
just able to function a little bit better."
Rambo game in development...
MCV
have revealed that a Rambo video game will arrive
in stores next year, courtesy of UK-based publisher
Reef Entertainment and supplier Creative Distribution.
Reef fended off competition from other publishers
to secure the game rights to Rambo from film company
StudioCanal. The deal allows Reef to develop and release
a number of titles based on the popular Sylvester
Stallone movies. The first three Rambo films
First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Rambo
III have grossed over $600m to date.
Craig
Lewis, commercial director at Reef said: Rambo
will be a triple-A title on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and
will capture the gritty atmosphere and full-on action
which made the Rambo movies so successful.

The Expendables
The
Expendables is an upcoming 2010 action film directed
and written by Sylvester Stallone and is set for release
in 2010. Filming began on March 28, 2009 in Brazil,
New Orleans and Los Angeles and is expected to be
released on April 23, 2010.
Plot
A
team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission
to stop a dictator who has caused destruction for
the last 20 years. The government sets to plan the
assassination to put an end to the violence.
Production
Production
began on March 3, 2009 and filming has started on
March 28 and will complete in June. Filming locations
include Brazil, Los Angeles, California and New Orleans,
Louisiana.
Casting
Jean-Claude Van Damme was personally offered a role
by Stallone, but turned it down. This reportedly lead
to Dolph Lundgren being cast instead. Kurt Russell
also turned down the role of Mr. Church, the man who
hires the expendables. The role accepted by Forest
Whitaker was originally conceived as a role for Wesley
Snipes but later rewritten for Whitaker. Due to a
scheduling conflict prior to filming, Forest Whitaker
was replaced by Curtis Jackson for the role of Hale
Caesar, who was then in turn replaced by former NFL
player Terry Crews due to negative fan reaction on
Aint it cool News.
Stallone wanted Sandra Bullock to play the role of
Agent Diane Lickson yet Bullock's schedule did not
work with the film, and she could not participate.
Ben Kingsley was offered the role of Monroe before
Eric Roberts was cast. The Role may be combined with
that of Agent Will Sands.
The role of the man who hires the Expendables, Mr.
Church, has been very difficult to cast. Initially
offered to Schwarzenegger, he declined in favor of
a smaller cameo in respects to his political career.
The role was then offered to Kurt Russell whose agent
replied that he was not interested in "Ensemble
acting at the moment." Currently Stallone is
looking covertly to find a big action name to Cameo
as Mr. Church with rumors suggesting that the role
has been offered to friend and fellow former Planet
Hollywood Co-Owner Bruce Willis.

Sylvester Stallone
Sylvester
Gardenzio Stallone (born July 6, 1946), nicknamed
Sly Stallone, is an American actor, director, producer
and screenwriter. One of the biggest box office draws
in the world from the 1970s to the 1990s, Stallone
is an icon of machismo and Hollywood action heroism.
He has played two characters who have become a part
of the American cultural lexicon: Rocky Balboa, the
boxer who overcame all odds to fight for love and
glory, and John Rambo, a courageous soldier who specialized
in very violent rescue and revenge missions.
During the 1980s, he enjoyed phenomenal popularity
and was one of the biggest movie stars in the world
with the Rocky and Rambo franchises. Stallone's culturally
influential films changed pop culture history and
he has largely enjoyed a career on the Hollywood A
list for over 30 years.
Stallone's use of the front entrance to the Philadelphia
Museum of Art in the Rocky series led the area to
be nicknamed the Rocky Steps. His popularity in Philadelphia
has led to a statue of his Rocky character being placed
permanently near the museum as a cultural landmark.
Stallone's film Rocky has also been inducted into
the National Film Registry as well as having its film
props placed in the Smithsonian Museum as a national
treasure.
He is part of the generation of movie action hero
actors (including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude
Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Steven Seagal and sometimes
Mel Gibson) who were featured in many of the Hollywood
blockbuster action films of the late 1980s and 1990s.
