The
Southern Courier has won the Media Man 'Newspaper Of The Month' award. Hundreds
of Australian newspapers were in contention, however there can be only one winner. The
newspaper achieved the award on merit alone and whilst it is true we are very
familiar with the publication, they fought off a long list of challenges including
The Manly Daily, Inner West Courier, Wentworth Courier and Sydney City Hub. To
curb any potential scrutiny of the result, the Media Man group acknowledges that
they have had numerous positive experiences with the winning newspaper, as they
have with all of the above newspapers, and many more. The
winner was determined on various criteria including: credibility, news value in
stories, community support, community sentiment and involvement, advertiser value
for money, and overall quality of publication. Congratulations
