However, its not actually a traditional TV series

Netflix,
Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) is among the Renaissance Technologies
Portfolio: Loop Capital analyst Alan Gould upgraded
the stocks rating to Buy from Hold, and also
lifted his price target to $1,350 per share from $1,150.
The
revised forecast represents a further 11% upside potential
for the stock, which has already gained 37% year-to-date,
as of the close of business on September 23.
Gould
acknowledged that his prior downgrade of Netflix,
Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) was a mistake and noted a strong
fundamental backdrop for the company in his recent
adjustment:
We
are upgrading our rating back to Buy based on exceptional
3Q engagement, a strong 4Q content slate, higher long-term
margin assumptions as each dollar of content is generating
more revenue, which leads to higher earnings and free
cash flow. Our NFLX downgrade in mid-December with
the stock in the low $900s was wrong, but after a
strong first half, the stock has tread water the past
quarter. At the time of our downgrade management was
guiding to 11-13% revenue growth in 2025; it is now
16-17%.
The
Loop Capital analyst credited the latest seasons of
Squid Games, Wednesday, and KPop Demon Hunters for
Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX)s growing engagement.
Moreover,
he raised his third-quarter estimates for the streaming
giant and also highlighted its dominant position in
the entertainment industry despite stiff competition.

Lilo
& Stitch continues to dominate, earning $63 million
domestically in its second weekend, pushing its global
total to $610 million. Its on track to potentially
become the first Hollywood movie of 2025 to hit the

$12.9 billion globally since 1981, while Stathams
action franchises like The Meg remain strong but havent
matched Cruise this year.
MCU
Struggles: Marvels Thunderbolts* and Captain
America: Brave New World have underperformed, with
a combined $357.4 million globally, 42% less than
Deadpool & Wolverines $1.3 billion. Thunderbolts*
barely broke even on its $180 million budget, marking
it among the MCUs lowest earners alongside The
Marvels and The Incredible Hulk.
Final
Destination: Bloodlines set a franchise record with
a $4648 million opening weekend globally, including
$5.5 million in U.S. previews. Its received
strong reviews, with critics calling it a confident
revival of the horror series.
Sinners,
directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan,
is gaining attention, with its Clarksdale, Mississippi
setting spotlighting local culture. Its performing
well but trails behind the top earners.
Memorial
Day Weekend Surge: The $329 million haul over the
four-day holiday, driven by Lilo & Stitch ($182
million) and Mission: Impossible, signals a strong
summer season, with analysts predicting a $4 billion
summer box office.
The
box office is showing signs of recovery after a slow
start to 2025, with family-friendly and action films
leading the charge. However, some anticipated releases
like Karate Kid: Legends and MCU titles are facing
challenges amidst fierce competition.

push to engage younger audiences through social media
trends. However, its rowdy screenings have prompted
theaters to issue warnings against disruptive behavior.

News
Box
Office Movie News
The
box office landscape in early April 2025 has been
dominated by a few key players, with some surprises
and disappointments shaping the narrative.
A
Minecraft Movie continues to be the standout, pulling
in a massive $162.75 million domestically during its
opening weekend, making it the biggest debut of the
year and the largest ever for a video game adaptation.
Its second weekend is projected to hold strong, with
estimates ranging from $65 million to $82 million,
despite a typical 50-60% drop. The films success,
driven by stars Jack Black and Jason Momoa, has been
a much-needed jolt for Hollywood, especially after
a sluggish first quarter. Its global appeal, including
a strong showing in markets like China, underscores
its broad draw, fueled by the games massive
fanbase and spring break timing.
On
the other hand, Disneys live-action Snow White
remake has struggled, barely scraping past $40 million
domestically after a steep 60% drop in its second
weekend. With a $270 million budget, its shaping
up to be one of Disneys weakest live-action
reboots, underperforming compared to even 2019s
Dumbo. Controversies around casting and story changes,
plus mixed reviews calling it insubstantial, havent
helped its case.
In
the Indian market, Ajith Kumars Good Bad Ugly
has kicked off with a bang, raking in an estimated
Rs 35-40 crore on its opening day, April 10. Strong
pre-sales of Rs 17 crore in Tamil Nadu alone and packed
theaters suggest its riding high on fan excitement,
with potential to grow if word of mouth stays positive.
Meanwhile, Salman Khans Sikandar is faltering,
crossing Rs 105 crore after 11 days but losing steam
with a lukewarm response and competition from Mohanlals
L2: Empuraan, which has hit Rs 102.35 crore in two
weeks and shows no signs of slowing.
Looking
ahead, The King of Kings from Angel Studios is building
buzz with nearly $8 million in pre-sales for its April
11 release, aiming to capitalize on the faith-based
and family-friendly wave. Newcomers like The Amateur
and Drop are entering the fray this weekend, but theyre
expected to trail behind Minecrafts continued
dominance.
The
industrys mood is cautiously optimisticMinecraft
proves audiences are still hungry for big theatrical
experiences, but flops like Snow White and Sikandar
highlight the risks of misjudging audience expectations.
With summer blockbusters like Thunderbolts and Mission:
Impossible - The Final Reckoning on the horizon, studios
are hoping to sustain this momentum. (Grok)

month has brought a fresh wave of movies to various

10 days.
Other
platforms are also buzzing with new additions. "Mickey

For
those looking for fresh theatrical releases now streaming,
"The Monkey," a horror film by Osgood Perkins,
and "A Minecraft Movie," directed by Jared
Hess with Jack Black and Jason Momoa, are making waves.
The latter has sparked some controversy with rowdy
audience behavior at screenings going viral, prompting
cinemas like one in Witney to issue warnings. On the
international front, Netflix offers titles like the
Taiwanese horror-comedy "The Rookie" and
the Tamil-language road trip film by P.S. Vinothraj,
adding diverse flavors to the streaming mix.

to lighthearted comedies, capturing the intensity,
passion, and sometimes the absurdity of the sport.
Heres a rundown of some notable ones, focusing
on both professional and amateur wrestling, with a
mix of tones and styles.
Starting
with professional wrestling, The Wrestler (2008) is
often considered a standout. Mickey Rourke plays a
washed-up pro wrestler grappling with aging, health
issues, and a fading career. Its raw, emotional,
and doesnt shy away from the toll the industry
takes on its performersphysically and personally.
Rourkes performance earned him an Oscar nomination,
and the films depiction of the indie wrestling
scene feels authentic, almost like a documentary at
times.
The
Iron Claw (2023) dives into the tragic true story
of the Von Erich family, a dynasty in 1980s pro wrestling.
Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White star as brothers
Kevin and David, pushed to their limits by their domineering
father. Its a heavy, heartbreaking look at ambition,
family bonds, and the curse of expectations, with
intense wrestling sequences that capture the eras
regional promotions. The film balances action with
emotional depth, making it resonate even if youre
not a wrestling fan.
For
something lighter, Nacho Libre (2006) is a cult favorite.
Jack Black plays a Mexican monk who becomes a luchador
to raise money for orphans. Its quirky, hilarious,
and leans into the colorful pageantry of lucha libre.
The humors absurd, but the heart of the storyunderdog
chasing dreamskeeps it grounded. Its not
deep, but its endlessly rewatchable.
Fighting
with My Family (2019) blends comedy and drama, chronicling
the real-life rise of WWE superstar Paige, played
by Florence Pugh. It follows her journey from a scrappy
British wrestling family to the big leagues, with
a focus on her bond with her brother, who doesnt
make it. Dwayne Johnson pops up as himself, adding
charm, and the film nails the mix of humor and hustle
in the wrestling world.
On
the amateur side, Foxcatcher (2014) is a chilling
drama based on true events. Steve Carell, in a rare
serious role, plays eccentric millionaire John du
Pont, who sponsors Olympic wrestlers Mark and Dave
Schultz (Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo). Its
less about wrestling matches and more about power,
obsession, and psychological unraveling. The performances
are haunting, and it shows the darker side of athletic
pursuit.
Vision
Quest (1985) is a classic for high school wrestling
fans. Matthew Modine stars as a teen wrestler chasing
a state title while navigating love and self-discovery.
Its got that 80s coming-of-age vibe, complete
with a killer soundtrack (think Madonna and Journey).
The wrestling scenes are gritty, emphasizing the sports
physical grind.
For
a wildcard, Ready to Rumble (2000) is a guilty pleasure.
David Arquette and Scott Caan play diehard wrestling
fans trying to save their favorite pro wrestlers
career. Its over-the-top, silly, and packed
with WCW stars like Goldberg and Sting. Its
not high art, but it captures the chaotic energy of
late 90s wrestling fandom.
Each
of these films highlights different facets of wrestlingwhether
its the sacrifice, the spectacle, or the community.
If youre after more specific recommendations,
like focusing on pro vs. amateur or a particular vibe
(serious, funny, etc.), let me know what youre
in the mood for. (Grok)

Donald
Trump delivers his keynote address at the Bitcoin
Conference 2024. In a groundbreaking speech at the
Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, former President
Donald Trump outlines his vision for a crypto-friendly
America. Trump promises to end the current administration's
"anti-crypto crusade" and positions himself
as the first major party nominee to accept Bitcoin
donations. He pledges to fire SEC Chairman Gary Gensler,
create a Presidential Crypto Advisory Council, and
keep all government-held Bitcoin. Trump's address
covers a wide range of topics, from energy policy
to inflation, connecting them all to the future of
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in America. He vows to
make the U.S. the "crypto capital of the planet"
and a "Bitcoin superpower," promising regulatory
clarity and economic prosperity for the industry.

Donald
Trump to Headline Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville
July
11, 2024
Former
President Donald Trump has been confirmed as a keynote
speaker at the upcoming Bitcoin 2024 conference set
to take place in Nashville, Tennessee.
This
news comes as a significant development for the event,
known for its major industry announcements and influential
speakers. The conference, which has previously been
hosted in Miami, has established itself as a platform
for groundbreaking news within the cryptocurrency
space.
Bitcoin
2021, the inaugural conference, made headlines when
El Salvador officially declared Bitcoin as legal tender.
The subsequent Bitcoin 2022 and Bitcoin 2023 conferences
continued the trend of notable moments, including
a powerful speech by U.S. Presidential candidate Robert
F. Kennedy Jr. in support of the Bitcoin industry.
This
year, the shift of the conference location from Miami
to Nashville signifies its increasing prominence on
the global stage. With two former U.S. Presidential
candidates, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Donald Trump,
slated to speak, Bitcoin 2024 is anticipated to be
a pivotal event that could potentially impact the
future trajectory of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency policies
in the United States.
Donald
Trumps participation in the conference is especially
noteworthy considering his recent engagements with
the Bitcoin community. Earlier this year, Trump met
with prominent U.S. Bitcoin miners, including representatives
from CleanSpark, where he reiterated his support for
Bitcoin mining both domestically and internationally.
In a statement, Trump pledged to prioritize the development
of Bitcoin and crypto initiatives in the United States
and safeguard the rights of the nations 50 million
crypto holders if re-elected as president.
As
Trump embarks on his presidential campaign, his alignment
with the Bitcoin industry stands in contrast to the
position of his potential rival, President Joe Biden,
who has shown less enthusiasm towards the cryptocurrency
sector. While Bidens participation in Bitcoin
2024 remains unconfirmed, the event could underscore
the divergent approaches of the two candidates towards
Bitcoin and its implications for U.S. policies.
For
additional details on the Bitcoin 2024 conference
and to secure a discounted ticket using a promotional

event website. Bitcoin Magazine, a subsidiary of BTC
Inc, the organizer of the largest Bitcoin conference,
The Bitcoin Conference, will be overseeing the event.

SURVIVOR
SERIES NEWS: NXT stars debut in PPV main event angle,
plus other news from annual PPV - 18th November 2012
--
NXT champion Seth Rollins (formerly Tyler Black),
Dean Ambrose, and Roman Reigns debuted on WWE TV by
attacking Ryback and preventing him from capturing
the WWE Title in the Survivor Series PPV main event.
Rollins,
Ambrose, and Reigns were identified by announcer Michael
Cole as being from the NXT Developmental system. After
they took out Ryback via powerbomb through the Spanish
announce table, Punk pinned John Cena, who had received
Shell Shock from Ryback before Ryback was taken out
by the NXT trio.
--
No titles changed hands during the PPV. In the other
top title match, Sheamus beat Big Show via DQ after
Show pulled referee Scott Armstrong in the way of
a Brogue Kick. Sheamus then delivered a massive beat
down to Show using a chair, which likely sets up a
World Title re-match at the TLC PPV next month.
--
In the other title matches, Antonio Cesaro retained
the U.S. Title over Kofi Kingston and Eve retained
the Divas Title over Kaitlyn.
--
In the top Survivor Series elimination match, Dolph
Ziggler pinned Randy Orton to be the sole survivor
for Team Ziggler over Team Foley. Earlier in the show,
WWE teased tension between Orton and Mick Foley, playing
up their historical feud from Orton's early days.
Also earlier in the show, David Otunga was named as
Cody Rhodes's replacement on Team Ziggler following
Rhodes's injury at last week's Smackdown TV taping.
--
Tamina, who recently trained with The Rock, returned
to WWE TV as Vickie Guerrero's hired bodyguard. The
set-up was that A.J. Lee noted that if Vickie places
her hands on her, then Vickie will be removed as interim
Raw authority figure. Tamina then blindsided A.J.
and Superfly Splashed her to establish her new role
as Vickie's enforcer (Pro

News Flashback
Brock
Lesnar vs Jon 'Bones' Jones being speculated by sports
media commentators; Will WWE top brass make it happen
for WrestleMania
For
months there's been speculation running rampant about
the potential match up of Brock Lesnar aka 'The Beast'
vs Jon 'Bones' Jones.
Due
to Jones recent drug testing fail it would appear
that the obvious place for the match up to happen
would be under the WWE umbrella, and what better event
to have it take place than WrestleMania.
WWE
is always looking for unique, high interest (and grossing)
main event matches, and there's little doubt that
this dream match would draw massive publicity, and
would certainly help sell out an arena (and boost
WWE Network subscriber numbers at the same time).
Would
the risk of booking such a dream match be worth the
potential risk and payoff? Only a few select top brass
in the WWE would know, those individuals would be
the likes of Vince McMahon and Triple H. Pat Patterson
would possibly be in the decision making also, and
could very well help book the match, should it be
scripted, as all WWE matches are. Or, would the WWE
just have these men fight for real? Problem is if
its for real, as the WWF Brawl For All was, both men
could get seriously hurt and be out of action for
many months. Then again, both men would be part-times
and are special attractions, so it's not like they
have to be out on the road going to arena to arena,
following such a bout.
There's
also talk whether UFC / MMA sensation Conor McGregor
may seriously look at one or more matches under the
WWE banner no matter what the result from his clash
with Floyd 'Money' Mayweather, who is not a stranger
to the WWE ring, having previously fought and beat
'The Big Show' at WrestleMania 24.
It's
certainly interesting times for the WWE / Sports Entertainment
- MMA - Boxing connection.
Let's
all hope that a Lesnar vs Jones and the upcoming McGregor
vs Mayweather fight surpass the infamous Ali vs Inoki
match from 1976.
As
Bruce Buffer says, Let's get ready to rumble. Let's
now cross to ringside with Mauro Ranallo for the call
of the action.
